Oh mAn Dave,
this photo really hits deep....i used to work on CP rail as a kid it was my first job. I worked on the rip track which was taking these apart and repairing them. many of them were from the 1800's......there are some real stories they could tell i bet.
excellent choice love the shot!

Great image! Nice composition, and the B&W enhances the old-timiness of the subject.

Wonderful capture Dave and I do like this in B&W. Trains have been the topid of the day for me today, I have just listed my fathers Marklin Z gauge on Ebay and have learned quite a bit on model railways in the past few hours lol

(inbetween a few hundred comments !!!)

Best wishes,
Steve

Two excellent shots next to each other, Dave, but I like the B&W better. I think it is a better fit for an ancient "caboose."
Thank you for your kind words about my "Passover", my "Television!" and my "Violet hibiscus, detail."
Best regards,
Rafi

Nice angle and great B/W effect. It sure looks like it has seen better times. Good shot of an era gone by.

Hi Dave,

Excellent choice to do this in B&W! Now that's a rare find, and by the look of the upkeep, it will soon be even more rare! Great subjet and composition!

From the looks of it this Caboose belongs in a museum. Very good capture, Dave. B & W is the right choice. No color film when this thing was on the rails. Regards, Larry

What a great find, beautiful details of this old wooden caboose, it still looks in fairly good shape. Great perspective and I like the B/W, but what color was it? Alison

Great job on this, Dave. Your composition and choice of B&W are perfect.

It reminds me of the old barn shots. You wonder how excited everyone was the day it was new.
