About Yes, I actually sold a picture at the exhibition. This one, (which I called 'Unstable stable'), sold for £45 and I also sold one of a robin for £20 ~ so my costs for printing, frames and submission fees were all well covered!!

Thanks for your encouragement everyone!!

Best regards to all,

Chris

This is such a beautiful picture... reminds me very much of something Constable would put together... the wheel barrow is a brilliant touch. I can see how it sold so well... this is something I would buy (& I have to be very carefull with my pennies)

Excellent... can't believe this has not received an award on here yet... still there is time for that yet & I think it would be well deserved.

A really great picture Chris, I reckon £45 was a bargain, beautiful colours would make a superb jig-saw puzzle what with the rusty drums and old wheelbarrow. Regards Dad

That is almost surreal! The colours are beautiful and they look like they are blended like in a painting, did you work this at all?

Congrats Chris, it is a fine image and a bargain at the price. That's about 24X18 inches I think, very impressive from only 3mp. Was the price for a framed print???? I wonder what that would be in Canadian dollars?????? This all so confusing! When you get right down to it though, it is the feeling that matters. Knowing your work will soon be on someone else's wall. Congrats, and many more sales to come.

Well and I thought you had bought this place, mind you for £45 I suppose it is not bad, but might need alittle more spending on it to get it up to 'des res' standard

Thanks very much, Roger!!
This image was taken at just 3mp resolution and I enlarged it to 60cms x 48 cms. The robin was taken at 6mp resolution and I had it printed at 25cm x 20cm. They were printed at a laboratory using good quality paper and ink, then mounted and framed.
Best regards, Chris

Congratulations chris!!!
It reminds me of those huge 5000 pieces puzzles! Every once and a while as a family we get one of those puzzles and all set together my mother- usually just watching- father, my six brothers and sisters and I and wont leave it till its done!
Yes the cat sets with us she LOVEs the boxes so her part is to make it harder for us to get to the puzzles LOL
thank you for posting this!
ever since my dad got cancer we never did one of these so it?s a bitter sweet memory! :')
Hope we?ll do this again soon

Great news Chris, congratulations.

Wow, for that price you could probably buy this building and have the Robin thrown in for free lol

It is a great feeling - I have sold several to friends at work for a fiver each, and even a for few games head start playing pool (always a great feeling) ;-)

Best wishes,
Steve
