I'm a bit stuck on this one, Larry, simply because, for some reason, my D70 hasn't been transferring the meta-data on my images ~ so I'm not sure of stuff like ISO, shutter speed, etc.

However, like every shot I ever upload, this one has been through my regular Photoshop regime, whereby, (in this case), I adjusted the levels, increased the saturation and contrast, and dropped in a new sky! The, having done all that and reduced the size for Usefilm, I used the Unsharp Mask filter to sharpen it.

I hope this helps.

Best regards, Chris

Really quite beautiful picture of this gorgeous scene Chris. Would you know the ISO/shutter/aperature of this please? AND do you increase sharpness and other things on your D70 to get such beautil dof/colors/sharpness etc??

Its too soon yet, but I hope to see more detail and all with my images with the nikon, rather than the Sigma........

Thanks for imput on your other image just received!! :-))

Yes, yellow is the subject here... And a strong contrast with blue, good decision the composite. Very nice scenery - the castle is no composite, I guess ;-)
A vivid, velvia-like yellow is quite tricky, good job ! I had a hard time with my dandelions, tried a soft light blended layer mask in PS.
Cheers;
Carsten

You know, Chris, I never had the slightest interest in visiting the UK 'til I began looking at your images. The tourist board should hire you!
Another awesome shot!

Fantastic...oficially my favourite colour now...until the season changes. You have a super composition here with the building on 'the line of power' as I recently heard someone call the rule of thirds. The yellow and the blue of the sky 'sandwich' the image beautifully. Regards, Brian

Great shot Chris and almost identical to one I took yesterday! Great minds think alike... and spookily I also had Velvia in my mind when preparing it for UF! I haven't posted mine yet as I saw yours so thought I'd wait a day or two...
Excellent capture of the bright yellow rape flowers... so difficult to do them justice!

Wise to choose a minimalist frame for such a riveting swathe of colour. I wonder if it even needed a frame at all? I would rather have seen a little more detail on a full-sized image--it looks beautifully sharp.

Saw a field like this on the edge of Purbeck today, it was quite surreal with the trees poking out the of deep yellow. You've captured that feeling here.

Gorgeous landscape Chris. It looks so serene. Although it was sunny here yesterday it was accompanied by very high winds. It doesn't look windy in this shot.

Great colours, not just the yellow but the greens, and blues as well. Did you use a polarizer Chris???? It seems that you did, but it is hard to say given your post-capture skills. As always the composition is first rate. Hope to see some close-ups of that structure in back, or have we already???
