About The old house is looking a bit bedraggled, but it's still plenty cozy!

Scott: I do have a few other images of this old house, but no real differerent angles. It was only visible from one location along the road, and I respect "No Trespassing" signs. Had I spent more time nearby, I would have attempted to contact the property's owner, and sought permission to work on the land. But, at the time, I was on an assignment, and had to be somewhere else in a few hours.

Les: Perhaps your monitor needs adjustment, or you are used to seeing the super-saturated colors of Fuji films. This was shot in 1983 on Kodachrome 64. On my monitor, the house looks like old weathered wood, gray not blue.

Why this did not get a blue ribbon, I'll never know! I would be interested in knowing if you tweaked this image. The greenery is natural, but
somehow, the house has a bluish tint. What did you do? I would love to know.
This is perfect!

Looks a bit haunted to me:)I'm thinking what a lovely added touch..the turret. Adds a wonderful sense of elegance:) Beautiful locatiion.

This shot reminds me of old farm houses and barns I used to see on from the highway when I lived in Minnesota. Except for the turret, of course. That seems out of place to me.

As for it still standing, I'm always amazed at how long structures can stay like this and not fall down. Years of storms and heavy snow take their toll but the house keeps standing in defiance.

I'll never again complain about walls in HK apartments not being straight! Reminds me of a house built by hippies near my friends house in southern Oregon which looked similar to this when it was just completed. Well seen and well captured.

Would have been much better if you put someone in the window (kidding there ) this house will be down shortly in the next big wind, good shot though
