About I had to crop over half of this square neg to get a good composition. I turned around to see this scene and made a quick guesstimate of the exposure, and whisteled to get the dog to look up. One second later and they were both gone!

You have some great shots in your portfolio. I love all the boy subjects. I just can't seem to get a really good shot of a boy but I do keep trying. Yours are great.

Getting that shot must be a bit like fishing. Looong, loooong waits while nothing is happening, and then a sudden flurry of activity, and a chance that is gone in a second. This is one of the big ones that didn't get away!
