See my comment reply to Fadel,
I tried different lighting, but I prefer to settle for the "intense, bold look" you mentioned.
Everything else I tried seemed to flatten the image out.

Hi Fadel,
I tried so many different ways to get a brighter look to the foreground area, without loosing the mood of the image. I just kept coming back to something that was so close to the original. Thilo also had a similar concern about the lighting, but he also mentioned that the darker face seems to add to the intensity. I think after several attempts, The Gorilla My Dreams will just have to remain dark and intense in the forground :)

scary one ;-)
from the thumb, it reminded me of the walkers in Star Wars ;-)
toning and vignetting is fine, the light issue mentioned from Fadel is valid for me, too. but it intensifies the bold outcome.

You might have something there about the light Fadel. I think I liked it this way because it almost looks like he is coming out of the light and into your monitor. But, I will try it the other way and attach it as a comment.

Very nice and interesting work Andre, I'm not 100% sure about the light being more on the background than on the skull, but it's a very beautiful work!
