I am amazed... I never knew this kind of moths existed... so far I've only seen grey or brown ones, this is incredible!!! And you captured it very well, only thing is perhaps cropping of the bottom part of her wing.

Great title for this one John, I have never seen anything like it either. I was looking moths up and found it it is a : Rosy Maple Moth (Dryocampa rubicunda). exact same colors. Great shot. Alison

I thought this was possibly a fake moth at first look, because the head looks like it was made of fake fur and the color is so unusual.

WOW. I have never seen anything like it either. What a hair do. What a fashion statement. Pink is the "in" color this year. But seriously, a very nice shot with good lighting and detail. I like the screen being in focus as it shows the moth's size nicely.
