Thanks Mary - would have been neat if I had a camera with me that could have taken a night shot. The river with the casino lights reflecting on the surface looked really cool. Will try next time we are up there to get some night shots.

Lisa - Thanks, I was amazed that the shot turned out so well, considering it was taken through a window 17 stories above ground level. Isn't it amazing how the river has low and high tides? Always thought that was something that oceans and seas did - never thought a river would. About 7 am today, the river was really low (has a lot to do with our drought too) and tiny islands of land appeared where there the river is normally fairly deep. Anyway, the day I shot this (about 1 pm 5-18-05) it was a "cool" 90 degrees or so. Left today to come back to AZ and it was 109 - but when we got back to Peoria (Phoenix area) it was hotter than that!

I love being in Laughlin and seeing the Colorado River. It's so peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful shot of what looks like a gorgeous day on the river.
