Excellent color and DoF here. I love the way you compose the red color along the bottom and right side of the frame while having the rest in green. Beautiful.

Wow, Jennifer! I have just found your portfolio and I am impressed with the beautiful florals you have here.

There are some beautiful colours in this shot, and also great luminosity. Very nice use of selective focus.

hi brad - thanks so much for all your support. This series of flower photos was for a show i had here - "For The Love of Flowers" - with 3 other artists. The majority of my photos were printed 11"x14" so i had to do some cropping to all of them, as the d70 format is quite a bit more rectangular than that. But, other than cropping, the photo is pretty much as it was shot in camera - with a slight tweeking of the levels. My apologies for not responding earlier, but i have been away for 12 days attending a 10-day silent meditation retreat - a gift to myself for my birthday! talk to you soon - jennifer

Hi Jennifer. Yes, I am trying too right now to have a blurred, out of focus foreground partially in front of my blossoms softening up a plant macro adding delicacy. This one looks a bit heavy to me. regards Jörg

I absolutely CANNOT believe that this did not get many, many comments! This image is just beautiful.. You balanced this image perfectly! I'd love to know if you caught it this way right out of the camera...... or if you had the creative aftersight, to crop it this way?! In either case, it's drop-dead gorgeous. My hat's off. ..Brad
