This is THE Moment ! I have been going to forests for a long time now ? in various National Parks just to have glimpse of my striped friend in the wild. The closest I was coming to was to photograph the pugmarks or hear the alarm calls of the herbivores, looking around the forest with every muscle in my body pulsating with excitement ! I found her at the Jim Corbett National Park, lazily cooling in the Ramganga river in the afternoon. She gave us a long look, and I kept gazing at her astride the safari elephant for a long while. The light was good and she was quiet, which gave me mesmerizing minutes to look at her, to photograph her, and to savour the beauty of the moment ! It brought inside me feelings I had never felt before, the churning of emotions which very is difficult for me to express. They say you sight a tiger in the wild if it is in your Karma, your destiny. Well friends, I got lucky. I am delighted to share this wonderful moment with all of you.
Congratulations Anurag! I can understand how wonderful the moment must have been! It is such an 'honour' to meet her in the wild! I have been going to many a sanctuaries over last 5-6 years, but never had such luck!
Thanks Dinesh for all the kind words. I would most definitely visit the site and see your work. And thanks for having me as a freind on usefilm. regards, anurag
Great capture Anurag. Lucky you.I never could get a good shot of a tiger in The corbett although I have had many from Ranthambore. Nice to know that you share the same passion for wildlife as me and incidentally have the same photo gear.
