Colin isn't it strange. Just 2 minutes ago I had someone else compare the two images and he liked the other one. Thank you for commenting. As a matter of interest I like this one better.

I like this type of shot, Danny. The monotone sky, counterbalances the shocking, vivid colour of the rape field flowers. I've just looked at your second version of this, with the powerful sky. I think I prefer this one slightly.
Nicely original.

Nice set of crumbling buildings, Danny. Is this some kind of allotment?
Lovely yellow flowers, and the sky looks wonderful in this dessaturated mode.
The parts are great, but I'm just not totally convinced they work together here.

Fatastic - effectful! I like the mixture of colour and B&W.

Great use of the selective desaturation. I love how the dark moody sky contrast against the vibrant yellow in the foreground. I cannot work out what the building is but it provides a good lead-in line and also a useful line of colour to break up the sky from the yellow.
Thanks
