About Just captured. When I saw him, I grabbed the camera only to find it had the long zoom attached, and that's what I used--odd for such a close-up, I guess. (ISO 400, 1/400 sec @ f/7.1, 200 mm) Seeing the pics of Armando and Larry Fosse, I have learned there are many different types of bees. And some that are not bees at all. I still can't tell one from another, but this one is dressed in khaki and is a very energetic. I do like the color palette that resulted. The rest is up to you . . .

It's ggod to be an inspiration...You captured excellent detail here. It appears you have a little faster 300mm than I do which helps with the detail..and I agree with your color palette comment...I'm sure you've discovered these guys don't hold still very well
