Thanls Pat. Yeah, I know the reason for using a fill flash, but I generally don't like the fake catch light. I was wondering if there was anything in particular about this image that made you think fill flash would have been good.
James: I do not use a flash much eather when shooting outdoors. There ahave been many time I wished I had one with, but as allways, with wild life, if it's not mounted and charged ready to go then Oh.. Welll.
Fill flash can be agreat tool when the sun isn't in a perfect angle to your subject. Can really help bring out detail esspecialy in the shadows. And you will get a "Catch Light" in the subjecst eyes most time wich can be appealing...
Pat, it was shot at 9:01 am after an approximate 6:00 sunrise. What makes you think a fill flash would help? I hardly ever use flash, so I appreciate your input.
HIs elegant shape and stance have presented you with a great opportunity for a great diagonal composition. What lovely colours and detail a great image margaret
