About	It was a bleak day in Dunbar... & even bleaker when we finally found the castle we had drived miles to see... I later dubbed it as 'Bird CR#P Castle for reasons shown below (see added photo). Very disapointing.. this castle has a very interesting colourful history & is said to have been an escape route for Edward II after the Battle of Bannockburn & a refuge for Mary Queen of Scots. Sadly it was dismantled after her abdication by order of the Scots Parliment & is now left to the birds (Quite literaly) Oh what story's these walls could have told... what a sight it once must have been to behold... poor Dunbar castle left in such a state... home now only to seagulls... alas such a fate! This truly is the best view of one not so Formidable Fortress. Sue xx
