The lack of light did not spoil this capture, but the lack of a tripod and ISO selection did? I do love the composition and framing of this shot?

Gabrielle,
I disagree, the lack of light (or rather the selective light) makes this picture.
I really like the ivory tones, created by the evening light. In my view the only thing spoiling this is the people. It would have been nice to keep it simple with just the patterns of the chairs and the wonderful lighting effects.
However the man wearing the strange white beret on his head does look quite funny!
