I love the corridors and corners of my apartment building, and often draw and photograph them. This gorgeous composition greeted me just as I was turning on my camera in hopes of catching some snapshots on my way to the store. I hadn't turned the flash off, so it discolored the ivory walls near me to to a rich burnt-pumpkin hue, while the stark, direct morning sunlight made the green carpet blue. The resultant photograph was even more beautiful than the reality.
