I am making a second trip in your place: your floral photos are really splendid! I love all in this one: composition, DOF, colours, backlit ...
In my fav.

hi Brad - thanks so much for your supportive comments. Sometimes i wonder what i'm doing adding more floral work to the world but i just can't help myself. Somehow i seem to find so much of life captured in those blooms & am just drawn down into them. So, i just keep surrendering & snapping away. I do appreciate hearing that others enjoy the process as well. I only have one macro lens - the tamron 90mm - & that's what i've used for all of my floral shots with my D70. I'm pretty blown away with what i've been able to come up with with that combination - for most of these i get in as close as i can & set my apperature as wide open as it will go & then just search out the compositions. And i do very little ps work, actually - usually just a little tweeking with levels & sometimes, if i'm going to print the pieces, i'll bump up the saturation somewhat. And that's it - the rest is just the amazing wonder of nature & all that it produces! Thanks, again - jennifer

I LOVE the selective DOF! Are you using a set of "close-up" lenses? I take lots of shots using mine, and of course, get the blurred edges, which I think add a dramatic touch. You have a wonderful eye for color, and a natural ability to capture eye-catching geometrics in your florals. Awesome! ..Brad

one of the most creative floral shots i've ever seen, colors and DOF are amazing, and the angle you used is the best for that idea, well done
