Those were wonderful captures Angelo with wonderful sky,
I got your point my friend, You are right, I think the problem with me, it is something like being claustrophobic, if there is no space for the sky, I feel the picture can't breath, I don't know if I am making sense,
But you are right, it is a different way which serves the composition more :)
2 thumps up my friend,
And I will be waiting for your next sky :)
Cheers,

Hi Angelo,

yeah, you made it ;-)

This time, I think the composing is awesome and balanced as well. No more wounded clouds =)

You may for sure do more clouds, but here we reach subjective philosophy territorry.

well done! Thilo

Beautiful picture Angelo, the contrast are strong, the image is very clear, the perspective is very impressive, very nice sky. And thank you for your comment for "Ruelles", I appreciate it a lot.
Best regards
Guy

Waldemar,

Obrigaod pelo comentário. Talvez eu pudesse escurecer um pouco a pedra, mas acho a presenca dela importante na foto, para dar um senso de limite, após o qual há uma queda, uma grande distancia.

Ahmeed,

I have nothing in principle against including lots of sky. Quite the contrary, I often shoot "up" and I love big skyscapes.

Please check out some my other images such as http://www.usefilm.com/image/811421.html and http://www.usefilm.com/image/811071.html as recent examples, and http://www.usefilm.com/image/486211.html or http://www.usefilm.com/image/486188.html as not-so-recent examples.

But for these images where you have been asking for more sky, I wanted to show a different aspect, to convey another message. They are about the land and its contours. The sky is an important part, but within its proportions. It is there to enhance, rather than dominate.

So whether I include 0% sky, 100% sky or somewhere in between (or even beyond :) it will be because of how I feel about the subject in front of me.

Watch this space because there is at least one "big sky" picture coming up (depends when I think it fits in the sequence). And you better like or else! (Kidding!)

Angelo,
Bonito lugar esse , esta dando belas fotos do nosso Brasil, acho que a pedra a direita muito clara atrapalha um pouco( destoa um pouco com os tons predominantes).Abraços

Beautiful and so dramatic view - so moody too! I like that you included the foreground, it gives a deep effect and a good perspective! Nice tonality!
