About I know, I know.....I just did one of these! But I decided my wall needed a 'companion', so had to do another, with different florals but yet still had to go with the first one!

However, everything used in this collage came from my photographs; water, sand, grasses, bark, twiggs, and of course, flowers!

But this one had two more layers than the first, weighing in at 31. Most time consuming, but fun.

Hope you enjoy!
Lori :)

excellent composition collage. I know how it is, you definatly should have a companion to the first. It makes for a stronger presentation anyway.
cheers,

Hi Mark,

Thank you so much for your nice comment. I am very glad you like this 'creation'!
Where does one begin to market such things, there just seem to be so much stuff out there. Look at "Art.com", there are litterly zillions of abstract posters out there, and low priced....that would be fun, but where does one start, and for how much?? I wonder......

Anyway, thanks again!!!
Lori :)

Mark Julian Mark Julian   {K:36866} 6/27/2005
Yeah, I do like this one. I think it's balanced very well which is really important for abstracts. A very nice piece.all in all. Those almost look like floating pizza slices (I'm kind hungry - seeing food in everything -LOL) Good job, Mark PS I looked at it again. You should maybe think about turning it into a poster. I think it would sell really well (totally serious - I really like it) At least greeting cards for sure........

Hi Lori! There is very beautiful vision. I like it. It is very interesting picture: flowers, grass and very sharp triangles. They're in tension, therefore this is interesting vision. Thanks for share, and congratulations for your art. Greetings! Robert

Hi John,

I'm actually REALLY GLAD (honestly) that you told me!!! I think you might have misunderstood....I will think about you every time I view this, IN A GOOD WAY MY FRIEND!!! :) Please know this :) :)

The dot was not planned, still can't figure how it got there, 'stroke' command just makes lines, still a puzzle to me....LOL

Lori, I'm VERY sorry if I spoiled Your night with that comment I made!Didn't mean to be picky but only wanted to point it out to you!I didn't know it was part of the image that happened to be the same color as the mat!!I thought it was the editing tool that made the line! But anyway it's still a first rate, top notch photocollage my Friend! GOD bless!!! Your Friend(I hope)LOL..............................John

Hi JOhn,

Thank you so much. Glad you liked this 'creation', I had fun doing it. Thanks for telling me about the little spot. I can't believe I didn't notice it, I'm always so picky. It's the exact color of the stroke line, how on earth did that happen?? I have no clue. I right away went into Photoshop to view the high res original, yep it's there! Gezzzz....I've already sent the file of to be printed to 23x30...so, I guess what I'll end up doing is get out the black sharpie. (and just hope I get it straight) LOL

Everytime I now see this image, guess 'who' I'll immediately think of??

L:)

Hi Lori!Good Sat. Night to You! You have been VERY busy I see! You have created another fantastic collage!!! This one is so alive with color!!!! I love them both and don't really have a preferance but this one is really eyepopping! On the right part of the purple mat line there seems to be a little circle that maybe You didn't notice. It's fairly minor but thought You might like to know! It's about a third of the way down the right side! It takes NOTHING away from this gorgeous artistic creation Lori!!!The flowers You chose to use are perfect for this collage! they are very pretty! Excellent work my friend! Have a wonderful evening and a blessed Sunday! my best.......................John

Floral meets fine art.
Pretty cool, Lori (no need to get apologetic about good-looking art, girl).

Yeah, using your own textures is a great idea!
I have two ever-growing folders: clouds and grunge.
The clouds so I can have a substitute sky of any flavor, and a grunge layer because Usefilm artist Paul A. Stiles has moved me to work harder on my imagery:
http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/13747.html

So, in conclusion:
- beautiful work of art
- never apologize for beauty, even if you DID create it
