Thank you, Dani. I certainly didn't want to give you the heebie jeebies (I'm laughing so hard right now as I didn't realize the term heebie jeebies was used anywhere else but here) at all.
I will do a search of the Internet for the spiders you mentioned, as they sound very interesting. You be safe when out shooting with them dangerous Arachnids! ;-) Dwight

Oh its giving me the heebie jeebies. 1.25" you say? At least he's not like our 3" long huntsmans in Oz! (or our Red Backs and White Tails that are teeny tiny killers. Australia is a big spider country lol)

Great clarity and DOF :)

Thanks Ronnie for the info on this spider. This one spent the last week in one location until the winds from Dennis relocated him. My sister was bite by a Brown Recluse (bad news!)last year and thinks all spiders are bad. I'm still trying to educate her. Regards, Dwight

Hello Dwight,

Nice shot of this little fellow. The spider is very sharp and the background perfect for this setting. This spider is a member of the Argiope family. This is an immature Black & Yellow Argiope, probably a female. They are very common here in the South.

Regards,
Ronnie Gaubert

Marilyn, Thank you! I didn't know the name of this little fellow, with my neighbors having banana's planted in the back of their property this may explain where he came from. I tend to live and let live so he is still working a web in my hedge. Thanks again for the comment. Regards, Dwight

Dwight, excellent shot of this banana spider. I haven't seen them yet this year but don't think I can get so close as this. What a macro. Marilyn

lol.. Dwight... we have our share of all of those things here in Vegas... wicked HEAT (though dry), spiders (but i rarely get close enough to photograph), and sharks, we definatley have sharks.. but it usulaly includes some monetary transaction, so i just stay away from everything....!!

Bryan, this time of year the gaint spiders (he's only about 1.25" from tip to tip) won't bother you nearly as bad as the Africa hot heat here. I can't go in the water - SHARKS.... or in the hedges - SPIDERS.... or outside - HOT.... better stay inside on UseFilm. ;-) Dwight
