Its not an L, but the quality is nearly as good, special stopped down a few stops, the cheapest L wide is the 17-40, and you lose the long end, I use all of this lense,17-85mm.

OK Greg, I know the one about 600 bucks retail.that should probably be my short lens since my zoom starts at 70 up to 200.

Thank you Jim, the lense is the premium kit lense, I needed the extra wideangle nature so I opted for the 17-85, it also has an image stabilizer, so you can shot at low shutter speed.

Beautiful shot Greg, Sorry I havn't commented more, getting my website up and running. Your whole portfolio is outstanding, but I really like this shot. Is this with the kit lens ?? I have had better results with it than with a 24-85 I paid a lot of money for ! I think they saw me coming
