Ok Mark, firstly find the F828 picks up purple colours better than any other camera because it is the only camera with 4 colours instead of 3.
Also I do some PS work on some of the images to enhance the colours that is already there. I hope that helps.

Nice image, Judi. I have a question. How much, if any, PS goes into the colors in these shots? I know with my sunsets, the camera picks up color and fire in the sky that the eye doesn't see. They are always prettier in the picture than they were live. I have just never gotten the purple in the sky that you seem to get.

Hi Carol. With my images, if I am going to work on them, then I will usually only try to work with what is already there. I do not add or remove anything as a 'basic' rule. Although there are obviously some images that I have built on to.
This image was simply an alteration of the colour balance. But ensuring you work within the confinements of that colour and feather your areas you will get the right blend...but you cannot make something out of what is not already there.
