I am just a gay from the past who don?t like modern effect. I support cropping & level/color enhancing in PS (or similar software), and nothing more!

Hi Igor. Thanks for your comment. I have been experimenting with frames. Some have worked, some have not. However, I do agree with you that for this one, the lines do not add anything to the picture.

Hi Shane, thanks for the visit. I know what you mean about cutting the height as I had thought of doing that. But, I wanted to include the little heart shaped clouds near the top to go with the scene I saw so, left it as is.

Well, now you mention it. I think the cloud on the right looks like some celestial figure opening his mouth and holding out a hand. It's a stretch for me to see the cloud on the left as holding out her hand in response, but it's possible. But hearts in the little cloudbusts about their head? That's the triumph of your imagination, Mary. Anyway you look it it, it's a beautiful picture. I love it.

Utterly poetic, Mary. Very nicely seen and captured.
I can see what you are saying, and maybe some more... I see on the left a man with arms stretched forward as if wanting to reach the other side. And on the right the head of a woman looking towards him.
I think the title is so important for the mood of this picture. You could have called it "Parting is such sweet sorrow" and the mood would have been the entire opposite. I guess you chose to call the glass half-full rather than half-empty :)
