About Like I said on an earlier upload, this little village comprises of just one row of houses. In one or two places the gap between the back of the house and the cliff face allows for another house but, in the main, the village is just one house deep. And if you live at the far end, (No. 66), you've got a long walk with your shopping!

Have a great weekend one and all.

Best regards,

Chris

P.S. My sincere thanks to everyone who has commented on my 'photo of the day'!! Your kind remarks are much appreciated!!

I love the natural curve given by the coast line... very nice red color tone of the houses separating the green land from the blue sea.
Good work Chris,
Khaled.

A picture not to be taken by someone afraid of heights. The red roofs are such a great element.

Hi Chris...I will always have a fond appreciation for the English country side and your photos of it. This is a unique view, with the angled line of homes against the coastline,

Regards,
Chris

This shot really does emphasise the long hemmed in perched on the shore nature of the village! At least if you lived at no.66 you'd save a small fortune in gym memberships! A typical shopping trip to the supermarket for me is a bout 5 trips to the car to load up with bags.... thats a serious amount of exercise!

Have you noticed how the village looks like an arrow head with the pier forming the shaft of the arrow? Great shot!

Congrats on the POTD too... That was a cracking shot even if it site admin a while to realise!

is this the same as 'bird's eye view'? (I know, I'm being corny)

This is a cozy little community!
Very unique in just reds, grays, and whites.

Thanks for bringing us this delightful scene!
Great photographic overview.

Lori ;)

ps...I see 'the sheep won' the BIP!!
congrats.

Wow, that's an excellent shot of this small village - a lot of character with the different house sizes and colored rooftops. Great perspective, great capture.

Quaint little town and a super view/capture of it!!! Great colors and composition...the addition of the 'greens' in the foreground adds even more depth... well done!!! BTW I didn't know you can do a Nils Holgerson.... ;-D!!! On a gull no less, did you loose wait in your vacation (or was it a big gull).... I usually gain a couple of pounds... LOL.

Exactly right, P.J. This little village lies just a few miles along the coast from Pennan. In fact, just 5 or 6 shots back in my portfolio you'll see a shot of Pennan itself, taken from a grassy verge above the village.
Thanks for the comment!
Best regards, Chris

This is a really interesting and colorful shot, Chris. It looks like the water is much higher at times. I like the perspective on this very much. Nice composition. I don't quite understand the awarding of the photo of the day since this is one you posted some time ago? Best wishes and thank you for your comments on my pictures, Larry.

Great capture Chris, what a fascinating place this is !

Whoever lives at 66 must be pretty fit ... probably drinks "Irn Bru" ;-)

Best wishes,
Steve
