I know, P.J. But for the second pic I had to stand close to the sunflowers, stand on my toes and hold the camera straight up and shoot blind. There was no way to get both elements on one picture together. Like most of the photographs are compromises in one or the other way.

Oui évidemment je parlais de Van Gogh... et pour la fleur, en réalité je ne connais pas son nom précis, seulement le non générique qui est une hémérocalle, ou lis, lily en anglais; ici elle ne dure qu'environ une journée au soleil. Si je le trouve je vous le dis. drilan@sympatico.ca

Thank you for your so generous comments, Drilan. If you see sunflowers you certainly have van Gogh in mind. Here, maybe, the sky isn't dramatic enough, it's too bright.

Comme dans une étape du Tour, avant-hier je crois. J'aimerais y rouler tranquillement, quoique j'aime mieux grimper; celà me fait aussi songer à l'homme à l'oreille coupée, le Flamand fou. Belle composition.
