Antonia, we had the same thoughts... I was thinking about a square format, too, but I thought I should have made two landscapes, another for the sky to put more emphasis on the drama in the sky... BUt I like your idea, too

Thanks Neil for stopping by ! Actually, it was 16bit from RAW but wide dynamic range despite grad ND filter (had my 3stop grad ND not at hand). The best approach would have been a tripod and three to four shots for exposure bracketing, then composite in PS....

nice shot Carsten, ever consider 16bit? The clouds at the horizon seem like they are being pushed a lot. Maybe 16 bit is the way to go for you ?
