Daring shot straight into the sun. Like a candle, indeed. Is Galal a Moslem name? I seem to remember Eqypt had a politician called Galal who was a Coptic Christian... but my memory is not very reliable these days. (Old age!)

If it weren't for the building on the background I'd say this image represents the flavor and beauty of your land as it looked long LONG ago. The boats with the Lateen sails, and that one vessel intercepting the sun as if it was its navigation lantern is stunning. An absolutely beautiful silhouette, with perfect dof and gorgeous color .. Very interesting that you should call this a candle, Galal!
In Portuguese, the name for a sail is "vela". Which, in Portuguese, is the very same name for a candle!
So this truly *IS* a "vela" in the Nile, no matter which way you look at it!
