About The quaintest little fishing village just off the Cabot Trail on the northern tip (almost) of Cape Breton. Not so quaint little name for the harbour. I bet there's a story behind that.

Rob,

Fortunately, I have been invited back. I will be sure to check it out next time.

It's too bad that you did not notice the turn off to Meat Cove . You literally drove right past it . It is about a 30 minute drive ( dirt road ) further up the coastline . It offers a spectacular view of this harbour , from the top of a large cliff that juts out into the sea .

Rob,

I would have to check and see where Meat Cove is. When we toured the Cabot Trail, we detoured off the beaten path. This was at Bay St. Lawrence which is about 20 minutes north of the Trail between the north and south coasts.

Cheers,

Todd

I'm sure there is a story, but I hope there are other more cheerful stories associated with this little place. It looks so quaint and lovely in a picture, but I bet life is not easy for the inhabitants. Tremendous colours, Todd.
