Superb landscape, almost monochrome. The shades of blue are wonderful, and the wide FOV is just after my fancy. The 16-35 seems to be quite flare resistant
Cheers

Beautiful cool image, James. Refreshing in a heatwave. I especially like that the viewer can see into the water and that the white and blue in the lower portion are echoed in the sky. -- Naomi

I love the perspective. You have done such a great job of capturing this scene--I'm sure it was not easy shooting in these conditions. Great details. :)

Excellent capture of the texture of the ice, James, something that isn't always easy to do!

Thanks Hugo. This image was about the iceberg, and it clearly shows. The backlighting and the slightly hazy sky made me wonder what I'd end up with, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Thanks Petal. I like the changes you made. I'm still a bit new to the digital world in that I don't like messing with the image too much, although I had no problem in the past shooting E100VS (a very saturated film). I did tweek the colors and saturation in this image, but I guess I wasn't bold enough. Keep pointing out the "flaws" in my images so I can improve. I'll do the same for you.

Thanks Tiro. Shooting in high-contrast environments is a little easier with digital because a lot can be done in post-processing to make the scene look more like one's eye percieves it.

Hi James, I do feel my attempt in the previous comment is effortless compared to this one. It has everything I tried to describe, but so much better.... Superb...

Cheers,

Hugo

Coooool shot!!! Super angle, great colors, textures and composition... well captured!!! Maybe you could tweak up/play with the levels and or color saturation a bit, to bring out 'the blue' somewhat more... had a go at it, hope you don't mind (if so just tell me off... ;-D... I can take it... 'I'm a big girl I am' (miss Doolittle))...

This one has such a great perspective. Must be difficult shooting pics with the strong contrasts and light that must be here
