Hi Greg, very nice landscape shot. A little more contrast could give the image a little more impact. On the other hand, I do think the darkness helps create a moodier atmosphere as well. Either way, a great composition.

Perfect composition balanced by placing the two major elements on the sides, I really like it, and you added the final artistic touch by converting it to B&W, Very well done, Regards,

Glad you posted it, I like it. To me sort of has an errie feel, probably more so because of the softness of contrast and focus, which I like in this composition.

The title is wonderful for this one. The tone emphasizes the feeling of desertion. Great composition. Mary

Very nice Greg, I like the moody feel here for sure..a very appealing image, I like this kind of stuff..caught my eye...looks like it's just before the sun comes up or right after it's gone down...I like both versions, yours and Neil's...different moods but both nice...very well seen and captured...:):)Linda

Thanks Neil - much appreciated and always open to advise and other points of view. Your enhancement is good. I had played around with sky trying to do more with it but your right the cottage gets a little lost. Thanks Greg

Hi Greg, excellent shot and beautiful landscape. I'm pleased you posted and shared it with us. I feel you could have gotten a little more out of it with a little more contrast, especially in the hut area. Hope you don't mind i tried it for you. It might not be your thing and it does take a little away from the eerie atmosphere. Still i enjoyed trying. Rememebr you are the artist!
Take care and best wishes Neil

Hiya Greg,i really like this shot, reminds me of living in Northland as a kid.Used to take forever to drive anywhere, lots of native bush dotted with the odd block of grazing land, empty except for one or two ancient trees and occasionally a derelict cottage or shed. You really have an eye for a great tree by the way! :)
