Thanks for looking Justin. The abdomen is just like that, no doctoring in PS. I just sharpened it a little. Hard to get this little bugger sharp out of the camera. He is really tiny. I got to learn to add titles after resizing my image too. When we look back on old work we realize things we never saw before, or things we accepted.

Great macro Ron. DOF is just about perfect. It's centered at his eyes, correct? nice place to center the focus. I would like to see this same image with perhaps one or two apertures higher so the bottom legs begin slightly in focus and than lead out to be out of focus. That's only IMO though. I've never seen one of these before, nor am i familiar with Arachnids so i'm curious, Is the bottom abdomen (not sure if i named it correctly) Supposed to appear that way or was the SmartBlur filter used in PS? It seems almost as if it were painted on his back using oil paints. Also, thank you for commenting on my work.

Great Capture Ron, I Like the colors and the fact that the eyes are in good focus. the DOF and color are spot on! The only thing I can see is maybe moving the spider down just a smidge, so that his front legs(the two in the middle) Can show. That is just MHO.

I still love this shot!
Congrats
Sam
