I think it is an excellent shot Joe. There are so many on these around our part of the world that it is a marvel that they are so pretty in photographs. Really excellent shot and not blown at all. I can make out feather detail in most places. Hello from Lafayette. Hope you fared well against Katrina!

Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique Very nice Egret shot Joe, Looks almost like he is doing a profile pose for you. the detail and nice background blur is perfect, very nice framing work. and remember when your shooting birds not models you cant tell them to turn this way or that way to avoid the sun, I look at the colors and detail there is no such thing as a hot spot on a bird IMO unless the whole thing is blown. Great job...
