Standing on the bare ground-my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinate space, all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eyeball; I am nothing; I see all. The currents in the universal being circulate through me, I am part or particle of God...Ralph Waldo Emerson......this is a peice taken out of Emerson's essay "nature", i know its not a poem, but it really speaks to me, it seems to give more meaning to photography than just trying to go out and shoot photos, but to enjoy nature while you at it, not just try to record something on film, but really feel passionate for what you do and where you are.
oops...thanks for noticing that kevin it is supposed to be "of God," my fault. anyways thanks for the comment I appreciate all the help i get from everyone on the site
I'd recommend a different (I'm tempted to flat out say "nice") font, and realign the text so that it's all over the dark areas of the photo and thus easily readable - either that, or add a drop shadow or outline to the font so it stands off it's backgrounbd (are you using a program that can do that, i.e. Photoshop?) You also made a typeo - it's "of" God in the about, and "or" God on the photo - I'm guessing "of" is correct.
As for the photo - I think the composition is solid, you seem to have roughly the rule of thirds applied here, and I think the eerie still of the reflection really "sells" the shot. Good work - keep at it!
