i also like the dof and way you composed...for a second version, i think it would be cool to give this a sepia tone and some grain/noise to give it that vintage look ...peace,gayle

Nice composition and well timed to catch the smoke from the powder. I'm in the process of posting some shots from the Newtown reenactment myself and you caught the feel of the event very well.
