About Out of respect to the many that have suffered from the sheer magnitude of Hurricane KATRINA...

New Orleans... may be considered as the title "A Flower Lost"...

Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle, claimed the entire drainage basin for France in 1682.
Louisiana became a French crown colony in 1731.
In 1762, Louisiana was ceded to Spain. Acadians, driven from Nova Scotia by the British, began migrating to Louisiana.
In 1800 Louisiana was returmned to France.
Napoleon I sold Louisiana to the United States in 1803, for $15-million.
By the 1960s Louisiana had become a major space-age industrial center. Environmental problems of the 1980s included industrial pollution, disposal of toxic waste, and erosion of the coastline.
In some ways it may have been considered the arm-pit of Amerika, but more importantly... the life-line.

This is a capture of a hand-made hanging (2m x 3m = 80" x 120") bought in New Orleans some years ago in an over priced antique shop, representing the "Fleur de Lys", being the emblem of France.

It Was "Une Fleur"!

Donate to a charity of your choice, PLEASE SVP!!!
