About Built between 1932 and 1940, Rockefeller Center was the first large-scale business complex in the United States to provide a mixed-use commercial, retail and entertainment environment. The original 13 buildings had a consistent architectural look with grey Indiana limestone, simple geometric forms and bold facades with decoration limited to vertical lines emphasizing each structure's height.

The complex is considered to be one of the best examples of urban architecture built in the 20th century.

During the winter there is an ice rink between this sculpture and the building behind. This is also the site of the largest christmas tree lighting in the world.

I really like this one a lot, Alison! I see what you were saying about the perspective, but I think it looks cool the way it is, almost a slight twist to the building! There are so many contrasts between the sculpture and the building behind, too! The tiny airplane makes the whole thing look even more gigantic! :)

It is a very faint spot in the sky probably a plane, If I didn't have glasses on looking at it I wouldn't see it either Neal. Alison

Really neat perspective! I can't even see what Rena was referring to in the sky. Did you sneak in here and clone it out? Or maybe my vision is really that bad. Really nice how you centered the scupture on the building. Excellent.

Awesome. I like this perspective Alison. Can't tell if that's a bird or a plane (sounds like an intro to superman...) up on the left, but it adds a touch of intrigue to the sky.

Cheers
