OK....I guess I was joking.

Agree with your opinion on the crop - toss-up between my colors (close to what they actually looked liked) and what Margaret did to boost. I really like the effect of the stronger colors - but they do change the soft mood of the shot. Next time, we really need to go back EARLIER in the day and stay as it gets dark to try and capture the water light show.

Thanks Kathy - I, too, like Margaret's crop and her color saturation does give it a different effect. Not sure which color version I like best. That particular night, the lighting was more muted and hazy - but I do enjoy rich colors in a shot! Jan

Thanks Don - I, too, like what Margaret did with the crop - by taking out the unessential to the shot part of the shot she brought more focus on the lighting and reflections, and what she called the stepping stone effect. That is what captured my attention when I set up this shot. Jan

Thanks Ellen - yes you do - and you have GOT to be joking asking that question! Question should have been if I did any sleeping while I was there in a 24 hour action place to be! Glad you like the reflections - really tried to work on those. Jan

Thanks Mike - on/off (weird) computer problems is why I didn't thank you for your comment. Appreciate you for taking the time to look. Glad you like. Jan

One word Mom. FANTASTIC!!!!!

I Love this shot. The angles of the buildings, coupled with the beautiful colors and reflections of the water. NICE! I have to go with Margarets Crop and your colors. they make a great match.

Congrats!!!

A beautiful night time shot Janice. I love the blues on the wall and the reflection in the water.

Very pretty Janice! The colors are so rich! I like the crop that Margaret gave it. Her coloring makes it an entirely different shot. I'm not sure which I like best. Hers is brighter but loses some of the richness IMO. Looks like your night photography is coming along nicely!

I really like what you did Margaret - took that part off of the right (that really almost distracted the eyes away from the blue/gold focus and effect) and looks like you bumped the saturation of the color up. Now it looks more like my original shot before upload. I really need to remember to do that to my uploads - I know that the pic looses color! Thanks for the help! Liked the lines on this and really liked how the blue lights looked that were offset by the golden yellow ones. Jan

Janice what I like most about this, is the stepping stone effect and the blue/gold combination. It conjures up that nice magical look. I wondered if by a bit of cropping and trying to get more glow to the blue gold it would look good as well. had a go see what you think
