Dear Susie, as I admire roses so much, I can only sigh looking at these September beauties.
Gorgeous shapes and lovely colours. Your presentation - lighting up their smiling faces -
adds to the beauty of the shot.
Unfortunately, roses here are not blooming so profusely and beautifully as they did in May-June. Possibly because of the summer excessive heat we had this year.
Look forward to see more such shots from you.

Susie - Really love the colors, lighting, and composition on this capture. Thanks for commenting on so many of my shots - have been having problems with my computer - slow to resolve, so I haven't been able to do to much with it. Hi Elizabeth,
To achieve a simple black frame I use the canvas. (You can add an actual frame from the effects area but you must flatten the image first and sometimes I don't want to do that.)
After getting your image the way you would like it go to the top tool bar "Image" & on the drop down menu go to "Resize" & then to "Canvas Size".
There are 2 sections on this screen. 1 is "current size" and 1 is "new size". Put a check mark in the box "relaive" under the height and width. The numbers for the new size will go to 0.
You can put in any size you want into height and width. This will be your canvas size. Play around with it. Somewhere around .3 - 1.0 is a nice size.
On the very bottom is "canvas extension color". It works like a color picker and you can put whatever color canvas you want around it.
You can put on multiple canvases...the skys the limit. You can also add a gradient texture to your canvas. You have to pick the color before adding the canvas though.

Actually Peter you were the inspiration behind my trying to figure out vignetting. I have admired your florals for a long time. I love dramatic lighting on flowers. Now I just have to keep myself from using it on everything! :)
