Got to say you've done an excellent job of removing the background and it works all the better as a result. That yellow really does stand out against the black of the background...

MaLuisa, I didn't try to blur, what you see are branches that were too close to the lense I guess, there were a lot of people around and I took it when I could. I should try the blurring. Alison

This is so beautiful Alison... Love the details and colors of the bird... Excellent ways of presenting it... I also like the original very much... Did you try bluring the background? I think it should have worked also... But the one you uploaded is astonishing...

Alison this is a lovely bird and well captured, nice definition in the feathers and the lighting is good, but honestly I like the original better...sometimes it's hard to tell looking at a smaller image, so I could be wrong, but he looks kind of nestled in there. He has a sad kind of look about him..the tilt of his head and he appears to be leaning...nice work...Linda

I used the clone stamp. I don't know if I have ever tried the blur on a large area, maybe I should try it and see how that looks. Thank's.
