About
Just as the sun was coming up on Wailea Beach, Maui, Hawaii. That's Pu'u Kukui volcanoe in the distance. Pu'u Kukui is the volcano that formed the whole western half of the island of Maui. Pu'u Kukui means Candle Nut Tree Hill in English. Pu'u Kukui is approximately 1.15 to 1.3 million years old. Pu'u Kukui's shield rises to its 1,754 meters (5, 788 foot) summit and slopes into the south to enter the sea in the low cliffs of McGregor Point.
Thanks Joggie. Yes the problem here is a very dark foreground and a lighter background which was corrected slightly with a custom curve. The light was very pale in the background. Glad you like it!
Great landscape Mahar. I like the low angle you chose. Great detail on the rocks in the foreground. the sky appears a bit bleak though for that time of the morning - one expects a slight yellow cast. All in all an excellent image. Kind regards. Joggie
