Didn't get any comments on the last one, but I suppose maybe it's hard to know what to say unless you know what I'm attempting. Well, this is a "Photo Art" / "Commercial" / "Digital" that I made by first using the printer seen in the image to print 5x7's of the photo pictured above. I then set the printer up on a table with a white sheet beneath and in back of it, and laid the photos out against and in front of the printer. Using two 500 watt bulbs I arranged them on 45 degree angles to the front corners of the printer. Then using a Canon 20D EOS (Tripod mounted), I photographed the setup and replaced the background with the molten purple one using a plug-in from the dream-suite series one package by AutoFX.com called Molten Background. Next I saved the PSD file and Placed it into Adobe InDesign to add the text. I was thinking that when I usually consider Photo Art; DA; or Digital Darkroom stuff, I often imagine an image that has various elements added or altered. Then it struck me, that commercial advertising, was likely the first industry to embrace the art of photo manipulation. So I decided to embark on an exercise to produce commercial style digital photo art, to see if I could pull it off like the folks who make ads for print publications do. Did I succeed? Only you know, and I'd be happy, either way, to read your thoughts. :) Brian
