By the way... The 56 stands for the year, not the amount of pulls it took to start!

It took years of frustration and coaxing by my wife to finally give in and buy a new outboard.
Now that I have one that starts first pull... I have so much time on my hands, I don't know what to do with myself.
This was about four years ago.

Great Andre, can't wait to see it! We've had engines that didn't run also but I fished while my husband worked on it! Darlene

John, This guy was so funny.....every time he would get it running he'd go a little ways and it would stop! He was very patient though, I was imressed!! Thanks. Darlene

I love the way you have caught him through the branches and the beautiful mist all around. A hot sultry feel to the area. Alison

I can relate to this Darlene,
A couple of years ago, I finally gave up on my old 56 Johnson when I realized I was spending more time trying to get it to run than I was fishing. I have a couple of old shots of me fighting with it, I'll have to post one of them later.

I LOVE THIS Darlene. What a cool capture. The mist is perfect to set the mood. You caught him perfectly, and I love the natural framing.

Nice use of natural framing. You might want to think about a tighter crop though. The upper left doesn't add much to the overall shot and all the dark out of focus foliage to the left and bottom make the composition seem a little heavy in that direction. Below is how I'd choose to crop it. Hope you don't mind.

Poor guy, all he was trying to do was get a little early morning fishing in and he's got to deal with engines! I was waiting for him to get out the paddle! Darlene

Great Job Darlene, I Always have great anticipation looking forward to your next post. Your work is So enjoyable to view!!!

Great job with the natural framing. I really like the softness about this shot.
Did you tell him that he should get an Evenrude instead of the Johnson he was trying to start...lol.

Well seen!
Best Regards My Friend!
