Thank you David. You nailed what I was trying to accomplish. I shot this young lady's session in b&w because I wanted to do something different. I was shooting with another young lady when yhis shot just happened. This girl was waiting her turn on this porch watching the morning sun and I saw it, stopped what I was doing, and grabbed it!! Thanks again for the kind words.
........when I saw this shot the other day it stopped me in my tracks because I was on the look out for more than just another 'nice' picture, I like pictures that ask questions and fire my imagination (no meen feat I sometimes think)so your lone figure on a deserted verandah, the empty chair, the end of a day, the contrasting brickwork and boards, the lights and darks, unforced, natural stuff...all good, well done. cheers, david.
Thank you for your comment and kind words Melisa. i have been a little surprised as well, but sometimes the ones we really like aren't the ones that others like or the ones that gain comments. Go figure!!!
I am surprised there is only one comment on this shot. It is full of textures and shawdows. It seems to have an old country feel of a peacful day dawning down a country road. Nicely done!
