Were These Cousins, friends, or sisters? My guess they were friends! At any relation they were very photogenic. Photograph taken on moments notice in Memorial Cemetery that they (and their Older Adult) were visiting. I believe they were with a certain "Mrs. Jones". Please check out innocence and humor and personality of each child. Thanks for looking, Merry Christmas. Check out another web site called the 28th floor.com It has some nice posts, and while there check out my images under CHUCK FREEMAN.
kids make for some of the best photographs. but i'm not talking about the "cute" ones. i think the ones that capture the essence of childhood, like this one, bring back those old childhood feelings so much better than the ones that are meant to look "cute".
Chuck, this is a great shot. The expressions are wonderful, but I'm in awe of the technical side of this picture. Really, really well done. The only niggle is the shadow on the farthest child's face. I might have dodged the shadows on the left side just a hair. That is, of course, assuming that I'd been able to capture this image in the first place, which is highly doubtful.
ohhhh my i love this shot! i'm adding it to one of my favorites... reminds me of a diane arbus. what an amazing find, did you ask them to pose like that? very well done.
Great image - I'm shocked at the lack of comments. So much personality in this photo, the stark contrast between each child's expression is very intriguing and even a bit haunting. Very nice work!!!!
Amazing world-wise expression and body language on the girl to the right. Reminds me a little of Sally Man's work in that this girl's pose straddles the child/adult grey zone.
