About Got this guy in the dark of the jungle feeding and resting. I dont know if I like the abstracty branch on the side but the light on the bird was awesome and I wanted to share it. I also do not know what type of hummingbird this is but he sure is pretty.

Focal Length 400 mm.

A beautiful shot of the hummer, Jim. I think the branch removal certainly improves the picture. Worth a try. Regards, Larry.

Great composition there, Jim, as well as the sharp and beautifully coloured hummingbird! I think the branch adds a lot of interest to the photo! I'm amazed you could get a shot like this with that shutter speed!
Dave.

I do like the look, you could probably do it much better since I am a complete idiot on PS, I did it with the clone tool then the blur tool then the clone again. as you can see had no idea what I was doing, I am sure there is a simple way. Alison

Alison, I like it, what do you think. It really is what I was looking for to begin with. After doing that, I might crop it a little differently so there would not be so much open space. Do you like it better? And thanks for helpin out, I really appreciate it. Gives me the confidence to go try and do a repost.

He is beautiful, I love the wonderful iridescense of his feathers in that lighting. I am not sure about the branch it is a bit distracting but then again it has an interesting shape and wonderful glimmer. Alison

Thanks Laurie, I agree. As I mentioned in my about I wasn't sure I liked it. Wish I was better in PS so I could remove it. I think I would have an awesome pic then. But, I had to take what nature gave me since I lack the skills for removal.

A beautiful capture of this little bird. The details on the bird are wonderful. I'm not sure about the branch though, I think it distracts a little from the composition. Otherwise, great capture. :)
