Thanks Kathy! And actually, for the most part he wasn't having fun. He was very nervous. But I got mom in there playing with him with a piece of corn leaf, tickling him and pulling it away. It definitely got him having fun!

wonderful fun+happy capture! if i was one his parents, i would be telling everyone i new about this stellar work and, of course, showing all my friends. what parent would not love to see such happiness on their kids?
also, with his clothes, the saddle, and your black and white tones...this has a nostalgic component that i really like...right out of LIFE magazine.

very nice shot. The white diffuser worked very well. I personally feel it is a little oversharpened. But I love his happy expression.
