I do make sense occasionally :-)
though Steve and Al would deny that!!!
I told al about converting a RAW twice - once for the sky (get that dark and broody) and then a second file for the foreground (so you have some detail and warmth) - then you can blend them and get perfect exposure every time.... no filters or double exposures needed.
Only time I'd NOT shoot RAW is when doing sport cause your rapid fire rate goes down loads.
