About I saw in the old church I posted some time back. Several times I have marked this one for deletion as lacking the quality of focus etc to post, but I still liked it. Today is my day to post shots I like but am not sure they are good photography. I am speaking of the ball I am also posting today.

Thank you Mary for all your nice comments and helping me try to imporve the chair. I agree with you and Dave but as you see from your effort it seemed to be a trade off between detail and contrast. I think the real problem was the original photo I took. I was in a church where we were not to use flash and I am not really equipped to take that sort of photo. I really appreciate your taking time to give it a go. Happy TG and enjoy that little grand child even if not quite ready for a turkey leg this year. Del.

It is a very neat looking chair. I can see why you would want to hold on to this one. I do agree with Dave that a little more contrast would help. It would bring out ther richness of the wood. I played with the contrast a bit. I don't know if this will work, but I'll try to add it to this note. See if you think it works or not.

Nice capture of the details on the chair, Del, but needs a little more contrast.
Thanks for your comments, too, they're really appreciated.
Dave.
