An effective differential focus, on this commuting scene, Roger. An interesting 'about', also. I really like the way your new lens has captured the fine detail of the textures. The colours also seem (to me) more realistic, than the average digicams, most of us use now.
Regards Colin

exatcly how high you are ?, nice angle to the lady very nice perspective. excellent clarity and sharpness, and very nice colors as well Yes maybe if her head slightly more seen, would be more wonderful. but this is also very nice, it has story, where she is anticipating the train

I like your story: "so nearly a great shot"! But there's actually a whole fascinating story of Japanese life here, from the woman herself to the daily commute... AJ

Dear Roger, I know this type of Oba-san! I met some of them on the trains at various times and I always wondered at the way they managed to pack everything so nicely and out of sight, as you cannot see what is inside the huge pack. The patterns on the huge furoshiki and on her blouse are very Japanese, I believe she wears a blouse of chirimen (?) What a pity that this is all you could catch! Gabriela
