Saturated success! The unusual placement of focus is very much to my liking too /H

Hi gayle ...... it certainly has that vintage feel but in a way it's kind of sci-fi too....... for me anyway

Both the plants and the post-processing are quite interesting, Gayle.

LOVE the tones.... The old postcards had such a unique "oversaturated" feel to them. I love em.
I like the way the top of your shot is more focused, and leads down into the more surreal land of make-believe.. Very cool shot!

Nice complementary colors and I really like the blur Gayle, I don't remember those postcards, but this is nice, I like the bold colors against the black background...nice work...Linda

Contrast was what I was thinking about Gayle, you nailed it, not much just a tad. I did tell you about my favorite flower, just can't remember! I think I said it was tthe moonflower for photgenics, the gardenia for fragrance and my mind will probably change next spring. Started to bring everything inside, predicting frost tonight. I still owe you an email, I won't forget and I will take you up on woking those pics, Cary

hi, have you ever seen those postcards i refer to in about? The saturation level is very muted but with a bolder, darker contrast level and softness
I would have liked a bit more tropical color, but didn't want to spend too much time on it before uploading....thanks! Cary, feel free to play with any of my images and then show me what you did...i would be interested in possible improvements......;> (you never told me what your fave flower is?)

Hi Gayle, I like the concept and composition, something seems to be missing, just can't figure it out, maybe it is just a tad too mute? What do you think? Cary

hey! you forgot the 8 cats brushing up against the couch and sleeping on top of the furnishings...and the candy dishes filled with lemon drops and peppermints....and the room is scented with gardenias...i think i hear her screen door banging in the wind...hehhehe

EXACTLY! And I haven't even gotten to what she would look like...every blue hair in place with just the right amount of blush and lipstick. :) Bet she makes good cookies too.
A picture is worth a thousand words...? My imagination ran wild with this one. :)

hahahaha...yeah, and the room would have doilies on top of that textured, sculpted fabric on the overstuffed chairs and sofa...perhaps flamingos on the drapes in tropical colors..dim warm light and just a cozy atmosphere...thanks!

The focus is really different on this Gayle...from the top left down instead of front to back. An interesting perspective. The dark reds and greens do indeed give this photo a vintage feel...very somber and moody. Makes me think of sitting in the living room of a 90 year old ladies house for some reason! :)
